Baby Books 2

The other two books I embroidered from Ellen Maurer Stroh was Baby's Toys and Baby's Zoo Book.

The patterns are offered for free, so even if you don't have an embroidery machine you can download the charts for free and embroider by hand.

Baby Books

Ever since I downloaded these beautiful Baby Books of Ellen Maurer-Stroh, I wanted to embroider them - I just had to wait for the grandchildren to arrive!

December 2016 with Aiden already turning 3 and Nathan nearly 1, I finally started embroidering them and it took about 3 months to complete with about 20 thread changes each.

I tried to have them laminated, but they were too thick.  I then just covered them with Decifix, added an eyelet in the corner and assemble with a ribbon.

I made up a packet, added their Dad's birthday present and then had it shipped over to the UK by boat as airmail suddenly went up by 33% putting it way over my budget!

1st Prize - Row by row Quilt

During our annual Show, the Row by Row quilt I made last year, won first prize.  I received very positive comments from the judge who thought that the machine embroidery was outstanding and that the quilt is visually very successful.

Block a day Quilt

Since my husband fell of a ladder on the 26th of April, quilting, machine embroidery and any as well as every kind of hobby has ground to a halt.  You grow accustom to your way of life and when something major like this happens and everything comes down to one person, it kind of opens your eyes again to appreciate your spouse especially for what he contributes to your everyday existence.

Whilst he was in hospital and rehab for a little more than two weeks, I took these blocks along and stitched them.  There is now only 4 left and then I can start putting this quilt together.

Runner

I embroidered these cross stitch motifs while still on school back in the 70's and never find a use for them.  So, I decided to turn them into a runner.

Another way over due UFO done and dusted.

Sea Glass design

I was finally able to finish this design and upload it to my store.  I actually embroidered it twice as I entered the first one in the  Sew ...
