Stack and cut squares jacket - 1

I downloaded this pattern about a year ago and have been itching to stitch one.  So, I rounded up some off cut cosmos fabric my Mother gave me a few years ago and started cutting, stitching and squaring.

400 4x4 inch squares ready for the next step

which is stacking and cutting them into 800 pieces


and after some serious string piecing


ended up with a big heap of fabric ready to be ironed, squared and stitched together in panels.

And this is what I am working to.
