Quilt rescue

The Stack and Wack quilt I wrote about in this post, started to seriously fell apart when the satin bias binding I used, started to unravel and disintegrate all over.  The cotton fabric however was still in pristine condition so to scrap all this hard work was not even an option.





So, with a 3 week holiday on hand, I bought 30m 10mm wide brown ric-rac braid and started stitching it on top of the unravelling bias binding snipping of the frays as I went.

And after 20 hours of stitching over 3 days, this quilt was rescued to be used for a few more years to come.  Mission accomplished.
